After 50-years, Are we moving forward or marching backward??
A Month of Black History: August should be considered as the real Black History Month from the Emancipation of Slavery 180-years ago to the Civil Rights March on Washington 50-years ago… Indeed until the late 1960’s/1970’s Social Laws designated Slave Descendants as less than Human with little or no acknowledged rights and for them to strive for fairness and justice meant certain prison or death.
Many of us were born within that time frame and it was the authority’s response to Rosa Parks’ refusal to move to the back of the bus that highlighted this legal unfairness and injustice and fueled the struggle for Human Rights, Civil Rights and Equal Rights… Thanks to persons: black and white, far and wide, citizens and non-citizens, in front and behind, things began to change.
Last Saturday there was a Civil Rights March commemorating the 50th anniversary of the original Civil Rights March on Washington that spawned Dr King's famous ‘I have a Dream’ Speech… Saturday’s event was homage to a generation of Activists that endured fire hoses, indignities and police abuse in their struggle for dignity and equality for African Americans and others.
Although Speakers of this March acknowledged that strides had been made from the efforts of Civil Rights Leaders of the 1963 March – an African American is now President – they also warned against nostalgic accolades and self-congratulation because the journey is not complete or the task accomplished as they stressed and re-stressed the urgent need for us to do more.
Slave Laws or Contempt of Court?
Of particular note were the words of Congressman John Lewis, the only surviving speaker from the 1963 March on Washington. He was also a leader of a 1965 March, where police beat and gassed marchers who were seeking access to voting booths - He spoke out against a Supreme Court decision that had weakened the anti-discrimination provision of the Voting Rights Act.
He said, "I gave a little blood on that bridge in Selma, Alabama for the right to vote and I am not going to stand by and let the Supreme Court take the right to vote away from us. You cannot stand by - You cannot sit down - You've got to stand up! Speak up, speak out and get in the way."
NB:- His words are exactly what Slave Laws would cite as being in ‘Contempt of Court’.
Slave Laws are real; they were designed to discourage Slaves from seeking freedom because of the certainty of punishment without fair trial or reprieve - This was accomplished by the accuser also being judge, jury and executioner… Today, 19th Century Laws like Contempt of Court, Stop and Frisk, Resisting Arrest and Escaping Custody are still used to enslave 21st Century children.
These are not accidental laws; they were specifically designed for the perpetuation of slavery so that modern slave traders could encourage and reward slave for oppressing slave, knowing full well, when Courts become activists, justice is threatened and even the Universal Law of Self Defense may be rendered null and void… Even Chief Justice Ginsburg appears to share this fear.
The Hammer and the Ant:
We all saw this as forces of evil 'qua-quoid' in ecstasy when a website dramatised an event in which a Magistrate referred to me as an ant facing her powerful sledge hammer and the public prosecutor seemed to relish and encourage her to let the hammer fall… However, thanks to you the people, many have become crestfallen as their celebrations of my demise appear premature.
Those supporters who get upset that I am not upset by being called an ANT should take comfort in knowing that by all accounts - thanks to the God of Nature and Laws of Balance – the ANT is the Strongest Creature alive… Please let’s not become misled by slangs and name calling for these are trying times and playing kiddies’ games will neither help mom, pop, boy or girl.
It is no secret that oppressors are upset because they would rather fool you to rule you while I simply tell the naked truth… A look at my past oppressions begs the question whether this attack is just another effort by those in offices of power to block viable help, knowledge and information from reaching the public by destroying AC Frett and silencing ‘Truth for the Youth’.
In his struggle for fairness and justice, Dr King evidently knew that no matter the oppression and opposition, the promotion of peace and access to knowledge and information was forever better than war or any excuse for conflict… I share these convictions so even those thinking I am now holder of the hammer should understand that I have no interest in crushing anyone you suggest.
50-Years of Marching Backwards?:
However, do not mistake me for some saint or believer in the folly of turning the other cheek - these persons and I share the same hard backgrounds and even if they do not regard me as their people I see them as mine… Besides, enemies encourage in-fighting to divide and conquer but just as I refuse to be bought and sold, neither will I participate in the destruction of my own people.
It is so much wiser to help than hinder but we often forget our natural roots and, driven by misguided ambition, we branch into meadows of greed and pomposity… Democracy becomes hypocrisy; justice becomes injustice, prosecutors becoming persecutors and non-reader leaders force us into a state of perpetual Self-denial in the land of imaginary friends and fantasies.
I have no doubt that the powerful wicked and corrupt are able to hinder, harm and even silence every voice that brings truth to the youth – They have been doing it for decades and until you appreciate the love and value for yourself and others, we will all be used, abused and eventually refused as our children of today become far less free than those children of some 50-years ago.
Yes, it’s great to commemorate that August 28, 1963 Civil Rights March but it is not enough to just ‘Have a Dream’… We must see it as imperative, crucial, for all our children – those who think they have arrived and those who wonder why they have not – to become familiar with how the real history of that period affects their present status so they may better determine their own Destiny.

They also violated your fundamental rights of-

where Her Majesty Declared and bestowed upon Her Citizens That

The BVI Law states
["when any offence against paragraph (G) of sub-section (1) is committed in 'VIEW' of the 'COURT',the 'COURT' may cause the offender to be detained in custody,and at any time before the rising of the 'COURT' on the same day may take cognizance of the offence and summarily sentence the offender to a fine not exceeding two hundred dollars or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one months"]
But Mr Frett, it's VINO,who Lawfully,Legally and Rightfully Published a document for us to read:
I did not see anything wrong with the "article" VINO had published!
But Mr Frett, in any case, you did not go to the court and while a court case is going on you disrespected the Magistrate?
You did not even know of the alleged AMBUSH!

Subsection (2) of Section (94) (1) (G) of B.V.I LAW is Crystal Clear!
The B.V.I Law directs that it is ONLY in circumstances where you commit the offence in "VIEW or in the PRESENCE" of the Court,that the Magistrate has JURISDICTION, under the Magistrate's Code of Procedure Act,chapter 44, and sub-section (2) of 94 (1)(G) to address you Right there and then!
The Magistrate had NO AUTHORITY in B.V.I Law; to address you as a VISITOR to Her Majesty's Court, because of what she read on VINO!
Call VINO---not Alred.
VINO,or Alred did nothing wrong!
But if you want to talk to someone; call VINO!Have a nice dialogue[That is what true democracy is about]
