PROSPECT REEF, Tortola, VI – Magistrate Ayana Baptiste-DaBreo today July 21, 2015 promised to impose a compensation order on Adalia White who was charged with driving without due care and attention following an accident she was involved in.

According to the charges read, it was on December 15, 2014 on Waterfront Drive while driving Jeep PY 65, she allegedly caused injury to the virtual complainant, causing her to expend some $3500 in medical expenses.

According to information from the Police prosecutor, the virtual complainant is still to see a podiatrist to address one of the medical challenges she now faces.

Magistrate Ayana Baptiste-DaBreo requested a printout of all of the medical expenditure from the hospital so she could make a determination on the matter.

She said too that should the compensation order not cover all of the expense then the matter could be addressed at the level of the civil court.

The defendant returns to the court on Friday July 24, 2015 for sentencing.
