HUNTUMS GHUT, Tortola, VI – Virgin Islands Party (VIP) Candidate for District 5, Mr Kye M. Rymer is promising to put the needs of his district first in his quest to become representative of the Huntums Ghut area at the upcoming 2019 General Elections in the Virgin Islands.

Speaking to a large audience last evening, Saturday, January 19, 2019, at the launch of his D5 campaign, Mr Rymer said he doesn’t have a problem rolling up his sleeves and getting the machete to cut grass and even clean the district when the need arises.

Mr Rymer pointed out that in the past he has served at the lowest levelinlcuding washing cars during a local fundraisera testament to his commitment to the people.

Results Driven

“I am able-bodied, hardworking, results driven, experienced and a family man, committed and ready to make even more contributions to the growth and development of our country and specifically District 5,” Mr Rymer told those gathered.

He said he represents the very best the district has to offer in terms of a candidate who is respectful and effective and one who will fight and be attentive to the needs of the people.

“Why vote for me? Vote for me because a vote for me is a vote for you… and we have a committee that has already been assisting and working in the community, they are on a mission to bring District 5 alive,” he said.

Economic Empowerment

“Bringing District 5 alive is about you the people, our economic empowerment, displaying our cultural heritage, ensuring that your children and grandchildren will grow up in a village where they can grow and continue to flourish and be productive citizens of these Virgin Islands,” Mr Rymer uttered.

“My neighbours of the 5th district I commit to you, that your needs and your concerns will de heard and addressed because your concerns are my concerns,” he assured.

He said the politics of division is not present in the district and envisions the area as the cultural capital of the territory while promising job opportunities, community services including a new library and entrepreneurial programmes that will benefit the people living and working in the area.

The park was in operation until after the hurricanes of 2017 and unfortunately the representative took I'll and pass away however I agree with cox fix the play ground too since you want to take credit for the basketball court do something for the park too.. the road can get fix when whoever take office after election or whenever but the bottom line is do something purposefully not just to try and gain political mileage off of someone else hard work

Are these issues and concerns would be tackled by the first 100 days in office if elected.. I didn't say to start and complete all I want to know is how soon into office we can expect to see work in progress and how and who we going to use to get these task at hand complete.. My cry to all politicians of this territory stop promising and giving the youths hand outside instead get your note paid and pen go to the different hang out spot in your district get the names and contact number and you as the politician go to these businesses places around and pledge with them to take 1 or 2 until you get jobs for all right now construction, electrical, plumbing, and much more booming in the territory right now...(e g) if there is 15 unemployed young men who lime at the court in Huntum's ghut, meet with James Todman, the different electrical and plumbing company around,Nanny Cay,Moorings, Burke's and the list goes on then when these youths get older and look back at there life
The respect they will have for you would be amazing just for the fact you turn there life around until stuff like this ain't happen we will forever be importing labor

Mr. Rymer I love your speech on Saturday. You stated exactly why you want the 5th District people to vote for you. This is what I am looking for on this campaign trail. I don't need to be hearing this stupidness bashing another Party like what the NDP is doing. The time NDP continue to bash Hon. Fahie, they can use that energy to give solutions and why we the people should vote for him after he spend 1 million dollars on the ESHS with 70 contractors, some of which got contracts, was paid and no work was done from them. The people need to know. People please open your eyes and see what is going on. If the people put back in the NDP and put Hon. Walwyn as Premier we better start to pack our bags and go some place else. Its Independent we will be going. They already selling out our sister islands. The rate they going on we might be living outdoors. People do the right thing. We need to vote out the NDP and please dont bring NDP2 either.

I must agree where was Kye all these years.why he never see it fit out of his own heart to show these initative all of a sudden he is like saviour of the district. I cannot stand the fakeness that is happening Kye need to be real and stop putting on a show just for votes. I see wade and juggy being real. Do Kye hangout over the years in hutums ghut or Fahie hill? Oh please give me a break. James Todman has done more for huthums ghut than Kye

Where was Wade? Where was juggy? They does hang out anywhere in the 5th? Just hush ya a**. If James did so much why you don't go tell him run and vote for him then?!

You also shut your a** Wade was always visible in our district. It was okay when Wade was going to run with the VIP now it is not because he chose otherwise. We voting Wade he has always been around. By the way you all claim that Kye ran a successful department, when he came to his post Lorna Christopher has already turned that department around. Wade had one of the most complex which he did a d-am good job to bring it to the level of performance in its capacity. Wade all the way!!!!

Visible where? He’s visible now that he’s running for the 5th you mean. Pure stupidness. He choose another party because of what??? I guess you don’t know huh he wanted to be deputy premier and he was not promised that position hence the reason him and his crew formed their own party. VIP is good over here we don’t need Wade. Kye for the 5th and that is all.

Wade have to go to the USVI to import his votes.

Wade is more fit and qualified to be deputy premier or even premier than those you have on the VIP team. Try go sodding!!!!

  • @Be real (21/01/2019, 09:48) Like (5) Dislike (2) Reply
The simple answer is some people can’t see pass their nose. The young man stated that he visited the area and had conversations with the youths there. Who stated they will like to have the court repaired he just didn’t get up and did anything the youths had a roll to play. The youths lived up to their commitment so he had to also live up to his. If you could see pass your nose you can see the positive impact from this taken place.

here is my take on the issue and whomever win God Bless them became all 10 persons running for the district can not be victorious and as a resident of sandbox road simply see about the public road and the playground I have no political investment or political interest be it CIA FBI PEP NDP PND VIP just simply do right for the people and i say this with out fear of favor therefore submit this comment without hiding or using some fictitious labels

No he’s now bringing District 5 Alive because after the hurricanes he didn’t stick around to see who all were alive. It’s pure fakery. Caring Leaders don’t run and hide. They stick with their people no matter what. That District was devastated. So where was he, did he deliver a bottle of water anywhere? Caring for the people of the District when they needed it most wasn’t on his mind.
