ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Oswin George appeared before the Magistrate's court yesterday August 29, 2012, facing charges of common assault, being armed with an offensive weapon, resisting arrest and two counts of assault on police officers.

Allegedly, Mr. George assaulted a young lady, while he instructed her not to come on his property. The court understood that he stroked her on her hand with a hacksaw, when she tried to open the gate to get to her apartment that is in the same yard.

Mr. George told the court, that the Virtual Complainant’s apartment is on his brother’s property not his, and he is tired of telling her and others to keep off his property. He added that he was protecting his land.

According to court facts, the VC made a complaint to officers, after she and two other female officers came back to the defendant's home to address the matter.

Allegedly, when officers asked the defendant for his name, he told them that he had no name, and continued asking them to leave his property.

When officers attempted to arrest the 68 year old man, the court understood that he allegedly fought with the officers, and kicked one of the officers in her abdomen.

The court also heard that Mr. George allegedly took up a crow bar against the officers. He told the court that he was doing work.

He is to report to court again on October 17, 2012.

WHY YALL BLAMING THE "OLD MAN"? HE DID SAY THAT HE TOLD THE TENNANT TO KEEP OFF HIS PROPERTY. AND IF I AM NOT MISTAKING, TRESPASSING ON SPMEONE PROPERTY AGAINST THEIR WILL IS AGAINST THE LAW. SO IN MY EYES THAT PERSON SHOULD ALSO BE ARRESTED FOR TRESPASSING. LEAVE THE MAN ALONE, HE WAS PROTECTING HIS PROPERTY. IF THE TENNANTS LIVE ON THE BROTHERS LAND MAYBE HE (THEIR LAND LORD) SHOD SORT OUT THE RIGHT AWAY TO HIS APARTMENTS. TWO WRONGS CANT MAKE A RIGHT AND IF THE "OLD MAN" WAS ARRESTED FOR COMMON ASSAULT THEN SO SHOULD BE THE PERSON. AND "IF" THE "OLD MAN" TOLD THE OFFICERS TO LEAVE HIS PROPERTY, THEY SHOULD HAVE AND CAME BACK WITH A WARRANT (THE LEGAL WAY) AND SPEAK TO HIM SINCE HE WAS ALREADY IN AN IRATE MANNER. THE LAW IS THE LAW - THE MAN MAN RIGHT FOR PROTECTING HIS PROPERTY. THE LADY WRONG FOR TRESPASSING ON THE MAN LAND AFTER BEING TOLD NOT TOO. AND THE COPS WRONG FOR NOT LEAVING THE MAN'S PROPERTY WHEN ASKED TO. THEY SHOULD HAVE DONE AS HE REQUESTED AND CAME BACK WITH A WARRANT. YALL NEEDA START SUING AND YALL WILL SEE HOW THINGS WILL BE DONE "THE RIGHT WAY"
