5.0-Magnitude Earthquake Lightly Shakes Grenada, Trinidad

A 5.0-magnitude earthquake in the southern Caribbean sea was felt in Grenada and Trinidad and Tobago, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake, which occurred at a depth of 94 kilometres between Grenada and Venezuela, had its epicentre 89 kilometres northwest of Port of Spain.

It occurred at about 12:27 AM, 102 kilometres south-southwest of St David’s Grenada.

It was felt in St George’s, St David’s and St Andrew in Grenada.

According to the USGS, there were reports of light shaking in Grenada, Trinidad and in Tobago.

There were no reports of damage of injuries.
