4 poised for Miss Easter Festival Pageant

VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI – Coordinators of the 2014 Easter Festival Activities on the sister island of Virgin Gorda have noted that thus far they are moving apace with their programme and come this Saturday April 12, 2014 the Miss Easter Pageant will be on as scheduled.

The pageant is the second of two for the Easter festivities on the islands. The first was the Miss Gorgeous Pageant which was successfully executed on April 5, 2014.

Come this Saturday four girls will take the stage as they chase after the coveted title; to be named Miss Easter 2014.

The four are Lakiesha Claxton, Tecora Morgan, Shereen George and Shaila Stevens and according to the Public Relations Officer Mr Jerrell A. George though three of the girls reside on Tortola only one is originally from Tortola as all the others have their origins on Virgin Gorda.

“The girls we have for this pageant are well trained and it’s going to be a real close competition this year,” said Mr George.

The after-event for the pageant will feature the second international artiste for the VG festival, Skinny Fabulous, at Club Ecstasy. The theme for the pageant this year is Tropical Paradise.

Tickets for the show cost $25 in advance and $30 at the door and are available at Speedys, Hazem Beauty Supply and Buck’s Food Market.

Contestant #1: Lakiesha Claxton

Community Service: Cheerleader for the Elmore Stoutt High School

Contestant #2: Tecora Morgan

Career Goals: Forensic Scientist

Residence: Lower Estate, Tortola
