3 young men seen speeding away in dinghy following Stickett murder- Police

EAST END, Tortola, VI – Police say they are interested in reports of three young men hurriedly leaving the Hodges Creek Marina in a dinghy following the fatal shooting of Estavan Jefferson on November 17, 2016.

Virgin Islands News Online had first and accurately reported on the shooting of 24 year old Jefferson. It is also reported that another relative of the deceased was shot and rushed to Peebles Hospital in Road Town.

“According to a police press release today, November 29, 2016, the RVIPF Major Investigation Team (MIT) is following up on “reports of three young men who were seen getting onto a dinghy and speeding away from the Hodges Creek Marina on the evening of November 17, 2016.”

Anyone with information with regard to this sighting is asked to contact the MIT at 368-9339 or 311.  

Jefferson was fatally wounded in the area of the Stickett around 6:20 P.M. on Thursday, November 17. The Major Investigation Team is seeking to identify the person or persons responsible for this murder and put together details surrounding the incident. Therefore, officers are urging persons to say something, if you saw and know something by contacting the team directly at 368-9339 or calling the RVIPF three-digit access number 311.  

Persons with information but wish to remain anonymous can call the confidential Miami-based hotline number 800-8477 and give this information.

      @ 123: I second the motion the black officers were not good enough to solved crime so they brought in the smart white boys from the UK let's all count the number of crimes those British guys were able to solve(prove me wrong) the one fellow up reach and he quick to let the territory know who in gangs but he can not tell this territory why he don't have the police on patrol...when you and I cant walk in peace in this country because the criminals have taken over,the commissioner can simply book his flight to the UK or do like the former commissioner of police purchase a house in Florida(the three fools awaiting trial taking the rap)

    Why there were no cameras set up in area of sticker, knowing that someone was gunned down in that area before? One hear so much about this sticker through the minister and yet no surveillance or protection for the people.

      The young man was not gunned down under the sticket. He was gunned down behind the food van up in the parking lot across from the sticket... Them police stupid cause when them came them block off the sticket and the man laying down up in the lot area... foolish people i tell you

    Therefore someone somehow knew all the matters around the area.

    Some Marinas in the area have CCT cameras. They need to try and identify these individuals.
