3-hour curfew extended to Feb 11, 2021

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- With some 20 active cases of COVID-19 reported in the Territory, according to the January 20, 2021, update, the Government of the Virgin Islands is continuing the 3-hour curfew which has been in place for several months.

According to the Imposition of a Curfew (No.2) Order, 2021, published in the Official Gazette today, January 27, 2021, the new curfew will come into effect on January, 28, 2021 at 5:00 am.

“…For the purposes of controlling, suppressing or preventing the spread of COVID-19 and for the protection of all persons within the Territory, a curfew is hereby imposed from the date this Order comes into force. (2) For the purposes of subsection (1), no person shall be on the streets, and every person shall remain confined to their place of residence (inclusive of their yard space), from the date this Order comes into force to Thursday, 11th February, 2021 between the hours of 2:01 a.m. to 4:59 a.m. daily…” the Order stated.

The statutory instrument was signed by Acting Governor, Mr David D. Archer Jr.

    U all need open the dam schools full time so these kids could learn from havin these teachers jus copyin notes and stickin them in the kids books for the parents to teach

    @Mr.Fahie, I don’t think that is what you wanted to say. If you are not confident in teaching or assistanceing your children kindly seek assistance. I am not a teacher and hats off to all the teachers. It shows that some parents do not know how to assist there children in this technological age. Parents it’s time to step up to the plate.

    Personal i dont see the sence in the curfew the virus still climbing . And it set at a time when most should be in bed aways. End the bulls***. So of you all need to face that fact that this man made disease is going to be around until the designer or persons responsible for this virus decides that its enough. Just do what you have to do to stay safe. What will be will be simple as that. Going crazy over this virus when its clear that not everyone dies from it or if you safe guard yourself and ones closest to you that you wouldnt be affected.

      So he should just open up the place so ayo nasty uncivilized people, some don't sanitize nor bathe properly could ram up places to get people sick? You sound s o schupid! If NDP was in we would have atleast 20 deaths by now but every business would be open and borders wide open.
