ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - At the LIME main store yesterday afternoon, December 20, 2013 there was no happier person than Ms Bernadine Smith, a customer who said she has been with the company from its inception, over 20 years, and it's the first time she has won something.

"Man I have always been paying my bills on time, supporting LIME all the way and for more than twenty years I have never, never won something, it's my time and I am so happy with my gift, so happy," said the excited woman.

Ms Smith was not alone as there were some eight persons who walked out the Flemming Street store yesterday with broad smiles on their faces and brand new Samsung Galaxy Tablets. Among those was also a staff member, Ms Preta Karan.

According to the Head of Department of Marketing and Corporate Communications BVI and TCI, Mr Kareem-Nelson Hull, as part of their "Share the cheer" Christmas promotion this year some 60 Samsung Galaxy Tablets among other prizes will be given away as part of the campaign.

He said this is being done in many ways, including donations and prizes to schools, organizations and institutions but more importantly to their individual customers.

Mr Hull said the company has recognized that since the store was re-done many of their customers have not personally visited the store. "So to have them get a real feel of the new and improved environment, we have the promotion that if they come in to pay their bills or make a purchase they are entered into the competition," he explained.

He said LIME also involved their members of staff in aspects of the competition.

While six persons who did business with LIME yesterday were notified and were on hand to collect their winnings, Ms Kamika Smith managed to wade here way through the thick traffic to be at the store in a matter of minutes to collect her Samsung Galaxy Tablet.

Kamika was more than surprised when she received a phone call indicating that she had won the prize.
Upon receiving the phone call, not knowing who it was on the other end, she responded, "Would you please call me back in two minutes." But that quickly changed when she was told the call was from LIME and that she had won the prize.

The other surprise for her was when she received a call from a close friend telling her she wanted to borrow her new 'Ipad'.

"She was joking but it was only then I knew I was live on radio when they called me. I am so happy, I rushed here in no time. I was recording a video with my phone when they called that is why I was asking the person to call me back. I had no clue it was lime," she added.

Hull said the giveaway will be a weekly feature for the entire season and he anticipates it rolling over into January 2014 as it's impossible for them to give away all sixty Tablets before the end of 2013, using the current format.
