14 cases set for HC criminal assizes

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The High Court of the Virgin Islands opened the second criminal assizes of the year yesterday May 7, 2013 and has some 14 cases slated for trial.

This is according to a list provided by the High Court.

Three matters on the list are slated as tentative. The matter between the Queen vs Collin Green has a tentative date of June 10-14, 2013; Queen vs Jeremey Springette, June 3-7, 2013 and Queen vs Micheal Jack July 15-19, 2013.

The other cases that are listed as sure of going forward are those of Queen vs Elrys Todman, which is slated for report on May 15, 2013; Queen vs Patrick Fscey and Micheal Facy initially set for May 27 – 31, 2013; Queen vs Jessroy Mckelly, which is scheduled for report on May 31, 2013; Queen vs Keno Allen, May 21 – 24, 2013.

The case between Queen vs Ian Thomas is set for June 10 – 14, 2013; Queen vs Alcedo Tyson is set for June 17 – 21, 2013, and the Queen vs Kenton Alexander is set for June 24 – 27, 2013.

In the Month of July, the matters of Queen vs Rodney Simmonds Jr. and Yan Edwards is set for July 15-26, 2013 and Queen vs Andre Penn is set for July 2 – 12, 2013.
