11 horses to make debut @ 'Boxing Day' races on Dec 27, 2015

- Doughmaker, Bitter Sweet Dream & My Pal Shawn to clash in feature race

SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI – Some 11 horses are expected to make their debut during the Boxing Day horse racing extravaganza this December 27, 2015 at Ellis Thomas Downs, in Sea Cows Bay on the Virgin Islands' main island of Tortola.

Race one, a 6 furlong race for Class E horses, will be among LB Thunder owned by L&B Racing Stables, Joshua owned by Top Priority Racing Stables and Dramacidel making its debut and owned by Case Closed Stables.

Race two, a 7 furlong for Class D horses, will see a battle among Sin Mirar Atras owned by The Boys Stables, Mark It A Wynn owned by Pleasant Valley, Power Ten owned by Zion Stables, Meddling Birdie owned by Mission House Stables, Gus Is Tuf of St Thomas making its debut and owned by 7A’s Racing Stables and Optionality also making its debut and owned by L&B Racing Stables.

Race three, a 1 Mile for Class D Mares and Fillies, will feature Orithyia owned by Thomasville Stables, Miss Homer owned by Ronnie Hodge, Motion to Appeal making its debut and owned by Case Closed Stables and True Essence owned by Zion Stables.

Race four, a 7 Furlong race for Class C horses, features Yes By Eric owned by The Boys Stables, Star Ship Titan owned by Strictly Business Stables, Atrevete of St Thomas making its debut and owned by Boyz 2 Men, Buy Buy Buy owned by 284 Racing Stables and I’m Sensational of St Thomas making its debut and owned by No Limits Stables.

For race five, a 1 Mile for Class B horses, it will be Unguided Missile, of St Thomas and owned by Neva NV Always NVD, How’s A Winner of St Thomas and owned by No Limits Stables, Chilean Boy owned by Top Priority Racing Stables, Pumped Up Kicks of Brothers Stables of St Thomas and Wrol Up of The Boys Stables.

The main race for the day is race six, a 1 Mile for Class A horses for a purse of $10,000, and will feature Bitter Sweet Dream of L&B Racing Stables, Doughmaker of L&B Racing Stables and My Pal Shawn of Family Affair Stables.

The final race, race seven, a 6 ½ Furlong race for Class C and D horses, will feature five debutants, namely Atorrante of 284 Racing Stables, Gottocha Bob of Mission House Stables, Sir Whiskey of The Boys Stables, Honors of Family Affairs Stables and Daboluck of Thomasville Stables.

Owners expecting nothing but victory

Owner Lesmore Smith of Top Priority Racing Stables said that he expects his horses to win on race day.

"The 2015 Boxing Day Races are one of the most highly anticipated race days of the year. Virgin Islanders and visitors alike, will gather at the Ellis Thomas Downs Racetrack this Sunday, December 27th, 2015 to enjoy the final round of races this year. With seven (7) races slated for the day and eleven (11) horses making their debut there will be no shortage of excitement and fanfare. Post time is 12:45 with entertainment by VIBE. Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for children under 12,” she said.

    bitter sweet dreams is going to wake up in the wrong place racing day, mypalshawn is going to give bob them a licking of a life time,, history will repeat itself with doughmaker and mypalshawn--- the boys stable for life!

    I don't know why they putting TOR next to the horses from Tortola. WE ARE IN TORTOLA!!! Just put STT next to the 2 or 3 horses from St. Thomas and be done with it. Makes no sense....
