$$ & travel documents stolen from Horse Path home of businesswoman

HORSE PATH, Tortola, VI- Police are said to be investigating a burglary committed on the home of a businesswoman in Horse Path, Tortola.

According to reports, the businesswoman and some Venezuelan friends on vacation in the territory secured the home on the night of Friday, October 9, 2020, before heading out to socialise.

Upon their return around midnight, the businesswoman found her room ransacked. 

She immediately checked her safety canister which contained her passport, other documents and a sum of cash but they were missing.

It was also discovered that $1000 belonging to one of her Venezuelan friends and other personal belongings were also missing.

According to reports, initial police investigations found no signs of forced entry.

      Mighty strange. When I go away on Vacation, my Passport and Travel Documents is stuck to me like glue wherever I go. Strange indeed.

    This sounds so strange... Who takes a passport.? What the hell are they going to do with it?. Really can't wait for the follow up from the Police. I'm confused..

      I do not normally leave my passport at home. However, I left an expired UK Passport at home once when I was traveling and I have not found it to this day. I left it in my china cabinet - yeah, I wondered what they have done with it. Identity theft?

    They have some type of ring SELLING PASSPORTS LIKE THEY WERE SELLING PEOPLES BIRTH CERTIFICATES IN PUERTO RICO NOT TO LONG AGO. SOMETHING IS NOT SITTING WELL WITH THE PEOPLE FROM VENEZUELA IN THE BVI WITH THIS PASSPORT THING. TWO WEEKS AGO DIDN’T TWO PEOPLE FROM VENEZUELA SAID A FRIEND STOLE THEIR PASSPORTS?
