CBN to bring news from home for St Kitts & Nevis nationals in VI
Speaking recently on the new venture, Andrew A. B. B. Cox Sr, the founder of Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation 90.9 FM, told this newsroom “I am delighted to help spread the word to nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis living in the Virgin Islands.”
The weekly initiative targets nationals of St Kitts and Nevis living in the Virgin Islands (VI) and the United States Virgin Islands (USVI).
According to Mr Cox who also owns 92.3 FM, the move is to allow the Nationals to “keep aware of what happening (in St Kitts and Nevis) while making the VI their home”.
He said nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis will be glad for this programme.
“I think the programme will be well received in the Virgin Islands,” said Mr Cox.
The first programme airs on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at 5:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M., with guests Ms Kaye Bass, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chair of the Planning Committee for the Diaspora Conference 2018.
The inaugural programme is also expected to feature Mr Calvin James, Chair of the Local Organizing Committee for ANSAR (Anguilla, Nevis and St. Kitts Associations Reunion) 2018.
He is expected to speak on “The important role that Diasporic Communities play in National Development”.
Caribbean Broadcast Network is headquartered in Tortola, and operates CBN-Television (channel 51), CBN-Radio (90.9FM) and CBN-Radio (92.3FM).
The ‘Working for You’ programme regularly features government officials, heads of government departments, permanent secretaries and other government officials providing relevant and accurate information as it relates to the social, economic, human, political and sustainable development of St Kitts and Nevis
